Month-Long Activation for Desert Botanical Garden
THE EVENT
If you live in Arizona then you’ve probably attended the Desert Botanical Garden’s popular holiday event series Las Noches de las Luminarias and taken a photo in our Selfie Station! Below is an overview of how we executed a month-long, outdoor Selfie Station installation in the garden and helped our friends at Desert Botanical Garden increase their organic social media presence.
THE GOAL
To provide a fun and memorable Phoenix Arizona photo booth experience for Desert Botanical Garden’s Las Noches de Las Luminarias event attendees that can be shared online instantly, as well as to provide Desert Botanical Garden with event attendee contact info and an increased organic social media presence
THE STRATEGY
For this event series we provided our most popular Arizona photo booth experience — the Selfie Station which includes photos, animated GIFs and Boomerang videos — for the month of December at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, AZ. We set up the Selfie Station in a high-traffic outdoor area with ample room for larger families and groups of friends to take photos and each night captured photomoments of Las Noches de las Luminarias event attendees in our outdoor-friendly photo booth. Not only were email addresses and phone numbers captured, event attendees were also encouraged in the email they received to share their images to social media as well as tag @dbgphx and use #dbgphx when sharing.

THE EXPERIENCE
Arizona Desert Botanical Garden event attendees loved being able to capture memories in our outdoor photo booth with friends and family, whether they were having fun creating playful Boomerang videos or capturing a sweet holiday family photo to share with friends and family online. Each night of December we had a line at the Selfie Station (except the one night we got rained out!), making it one of the more popular activity choices for this Arizona holiday event series.
THE ROI
Over the course of the month of December we captured over 3,000 images/videos and emails for Desert Botanical Garden’s Las Noches de las Luminarias Phoenix, Arizona event series in 2021 that resulted in over an 345K reach and impressive 1.1 million impressions on social media.
